During the international week we will introduce you to the basics of robot programming, using open-source software such as Linux, Python and the ROS framework. This will be supported by a short introduction to a specific case, and the general principles of the used robots. After this introduction we will teach you how to control the robot using your own code.

In 2017-2018

In the time of mobile, we’ll explore the future possibilities of creating engaging user experiences." The task will be to come up with innovative ways of thinking user interaction on mobile platforms, in the context of a “real life” business case. " The focus of the project will be on the interface design as well as the creating working prototypes. We’ll work with techniques within UXdesign as well as prototyping applications.

You will have find solutions to help the start up Share My Park (https://sharemypark.be/ ) to manage their parking spaces using IoT devices
You will work in small groups, composed of Belgian and international students.
To achieve this, you’ll have to draw upon various kinds of knowledge. You’ll also have to use communication skills and learn to work and socialize with other cultures.

During this project, you’ll learn the possibilities of Big Data by developing a real cloud solution, learning the concepts of serverless deployment. Expert lectures, workshops and working on the project are incorporated to help you in this mission.

The course goals are to develop a project for Android devices that will send geo-localized information and media to a database server. This information will be displayed in a web using Google Maps API

Our mission is to develop a robot with IoT hardware and to use and improve the code. The robot should have as much features as possible, so he can win a robot fight. There is also a server and web interface to visualise the scores.

During this international week the students from different ICT disciplines (software, technology, business and media) are going to team up to develop an innovative concept for improving quality of life based on a NAO robot platform.

The project will guide you through the creation of location-based apps on Android. It will improve your skills in use of modern technology such as Location Beacons, GPS positioning, QR/EAN codes and much more. Participants will develop their own mobile app in small international teams. Basic skill of object oriented programming required.

During the project you’ll have opportunities to learn how to use/program Lego Mindstorms and experiment with Rasberry Pi units. You are encouraged to make use of a range of resoucres including: Adobe Master Collection and GameMaker to develop and pitch a product that will attract girls to study computing &  IT.

Forget about chocolates and mussles, maybe you will develop the app that follows the trail of Kuifje (Tintin), one of our famous
cartoon characters or guides you through the comprehensive worls of our national product: beer!

We will work with technologies which are based on
Javascript and HTML5.

Join our IT summer camp for a unique 10 day China immersion, exploring Beijing, Shanghai and Hangzhou, China's 'silicon valley'. • Spend 5 days following lectures and participating in labs taught by a Hangzhou University professor. You will learn several key data mining models and R programming, using your skills to create a business analytics model using real world datasets.

You will spend the week designing and developing an online game using a selection of design and programming tools.  You will need some basic concepts in programming to begin with, but we will show you the software you need and help you to develop a game of your design.

Our mission is to develop a game starting from concept to implementation.  Students should have some basic knowledge about programming, design, graphics, multi media.

Our mission is to develop Smart city projects that offers a good quality of life through smart solutions. Assured water and power supply, sanitation and solid waste management, efficient urban mobility and public transport, robust IT connectivity, e-governance and citizen participation along with safety of its citizens are some of the likely attributes of these smart city projects.
